Man Criminal History Checks

Man is one of Logan County's three largest incorporated places, with an official July 1, 2024 estimate of 717 residents. Its size does not make all Man records part of one file. A Man police narrative, municipal citation, county complaint, jail booking, and CIB history are separate products. Each Man record answers a different question and has its own custodian.

Use a record-first sequence when tracing an event in Man:

1. Identify the responding or arresting agency from the citation, officer name, report number, or event facts.
2. Confirm a current official channel for that agency before requesting the incident or arrest report.
3. Ask the verified Man court custodian about a municipal matter because no Man municipal portal was confirmed.
4. Check WVDCR for custody and Logan Magistrate or Circuit systems for filed state charges and outcomes.
5. Use WVSP and IdentoGO when the goal is a fingerprint-based review of your own statewide criminal history.

The Man sequence prevents a common error: treating the newest online hit as a full history. A jail record can vanish after release while the court case remains. A Man report may exist without an arrest. A state repository file may lag behind a changed disposition.

Identify the Man Records Agency

The first high-value question is who handled the Man event. Official highway material confirms that Man has a municipal police department. That does not mean every incident inside Man limits belongs to Man Police. WVSP, the Logan County Sheriff, or another agency may have taken the call or led a multiagency response.

Look for agency names on a Man citation, complaint, bond paper, or property receipt. If no document is available, use the event date, time range, precise location, and nature of the call when asking who holds the report. Do not send a broad demand to every office. The arresting agency owns its narrative, WVDCR owns the Man booking file, and the proper clerk owns the case docket.

Records at the Man Police Department

Man Police is the custodian of Man reports created by its officers. Research did not verify a current official Man Town Hall phone or address, police chief, records contact, request form, fee, public blotter, or online report portal. Those Man access gaps must remain gaps. Directory listings and similarly named towns in other states are not safe substitutes for an official West Virginia source.

Once a current Man public custodian is verified, a useful request will name Man Police, state the record type, narrow the event date and location, and provide the report number when known. Ask for inspection or the stored electronic format. If a Man record includes both public and exempt matter, request segregable nonexempt portions and a written basis for anything withheld.

A Man report may contain a narrative, involved officers, witnesses, alleged offense, arrest facts, and evidence information. Investigative, private, medical, juvenile, or protected victim details may be redacted. The lack of a Man portal does not enlarge or shrink those legal limits.

No Man Police Records Portal

No official Man police records form, Man blotter, fee schedule, or records email was found. The correct response is not to infer that Man records are unavailable. It is to verify the Man municipal custodian through a current official government channel before sending personal details or money, then submit a narrow West Virginia FOIA request.

A Man request should identify the agency, date or short date range, event location, report or case number when available, and whether the target is an incident report, arrest report, dispatch log, or releasable warrant entry. A demand for all Man criminal records about a person can reach several independent systems and may be too vague for one municipal office.

Booking and Arrest Records in Man

A Man arrest can create a Man Police report and a separate state booking file. Man custody routes to Southwestern Regional Jail and Correctional Facility in Holden. Southwestern serves four counties. An institution result alone does not establish that Man was the place of arrest. Likewise, the absence of a current Man listing can mean release, transfer, lag, or use of the wrong search path. The jail system itself cautions that Man custody status, location, and release data can change quickly. Verify a filed Man charge and outcome in the court file.

The public custody profile is narrower than the internal booking record. Intake may create identity, photo, fingerprint, property, funds, medical-screening, commitment, bond, detainer, movement, and release material. Some of those details are private or security-sensitive. The county-wide Logan County arrest search provides the fuller access chain, while the Man-specific rule is to keep the town report and state booking request separate.

WV 10 and Man Police Records

West Virginia Route 10 shapes travel and emergency response around Man. Historic official highway material documents coordination involving Man Police, Chapmanville Police, and the sheriff during a road closure. The Man event is evidence of multiagency response, not a current roster or a rule that one agency holds all related Man files.

When a Man event occurred on or near that corridor, determine which office took the lead. One agency may hold the main Man incident report while another holds a supplemental report. A Man court complaint can identify the charging officer and agency. A report number is even more direct. Man road geography helps frame the search, but it cannot replace the agency name.

The Man Municipal Court File

A Man municipal matter and a Logan County criminal case are not the same record. West Virginia law grants municipal courts jurisdiction over ordinance violations and other matters assigned by statute. A Man citation therefore should not be assumed to appear in the Magistrate Case Record Search.

State misdemeanors and felony preliminary matters go through Logan Magistrate Court. Felony cases later move to Circuit Court. The official Magistrate Case Record Search allows a name or case-number query, but it caps results and does not provide pleading downloads. Obtain the actual complaint, order, or judgment from the clerk that holds it.

Man Citations and County Records

A ticket issued in Man does not identify its court destination by the Man name alone. Read the issuing agency, cited law, and appearance instructions. A municipal ordinance matter may stay with the Man court. A state-law allegation can route to Logan Magistrate Court. A Man felony begins with preliminary steps and can proceed into Circuit Court after indictment.

This split is one reason a single portal cannot prove that no case exists. Search the court named on the citation or complaint. If the record is missing online, call the proper clerk with the case number and ask for the exact docket entry. Blank online fields can mean the data has not yet been entered, rather than that an event never occurred.

For case stages, copies, and the distinction between Magistrate and Circuit files, use the Logan County court case lookup. Man-specific municipal access still requires verification with the town custodian.

Note: A Man citation should be traced by its issuing law and named court, not by assuming every local matter reaches MCR.

How Man Records Reach the County

The Man record path depends on what happened. Man Police retains its agency narrative. A Man commitment creates WVDCR custody data. State charges create Magistrate or Circuit files in Logan County. Clerks and other criminal-justice agencies report eligible Man disposition information to the state Criminal Identification Bureau.

This is a reporting chain, not one shared screen. Timing and scope differ. A new town report may precede a searchable court filing. The jail locator may show custody but not a final legal outcome. Man Records Versus Chapmanville WVSP

The WVSP Logan Detachment is at 8040 Old Logan Road in Chapmanville, not in Man. It is a separate state agency. A person should not send a Man Police report request there unless a trooper actually handled the Man event. Physical proximity within Logan County does not transfer custody of a Man municipal report.

The detachment does have a distinct role in the state sex offender system. Registration occurs through the WVSP detachment covering the residence, and the public West Virginia State Police Sex Offender Registry can search by city, county, street, or neighborhood radius. A public registry profile is a statutory safety disclosure. It is not a generic Man criminal-history report and should not be treated as one.

Note: Registry information may change or await verification; use it for lawful precautions and report suspected errors rather than confronting anyone.

Man Record Access Rules

West Virginia FOIA gives the public a route to Man records held by the actual custodian. The request must identify the desired information with reasonable specificity. The custodian has five business days, excluding weekends and legal holidays, to produce copies, set an inspection, or deny the request in writing. That deadline concerns action, not guaranteed completion.

Access is not absolute. Law-enforcement investigation material, private personal details, corrections-security information, juvenile matters, sealed files, and protected victim identities may be restricted. When possible, ask for the public portions after exempt material is removed. Court records can also be limited by a written order stating scope, duration, and reason.

When a Man Record Looks Wrong

Correct the source that created the disputed fact. If a Man Police report contains an event detail in error, start with the Man agency after confirming its custodian. If a Man charge or outcome is wrong, contact the court or arresting agency that submitted it. WVSP says disposition and charge corrections must come from the source agency rather than being rewritten by the repository on request alone.

For a personal CIB challenge, WVSP uses form 136A, a $20 check or money order payable to the Superintendent, and mailing to the Criminal Identification Bureau in South Charleston. That state procedure is only a brief routing point here. A Man record search should first isolate whether the disputed object is the town report, WVDCR booking data, a court docket, or the biometric CIB file.

Man Town Records Context

Official municipal-league material identifies John Fekete as mayor, but the research did not verify a current Man Town Hall address, phone, police records contact, or court counter. A named Man official does not establish where a record request should be delivered. Confirm the current Man custodian through an official public source before relying on contact details.

The absence of official online infrastructure is itself useful context. It means Man requesters should preserve whom they contacted, when, what record they described, and how the office directed them. That simple log helps distinguish a failed Man portal search from a true records response. It also keeps a later FOIA request focused on one Man agency and one record category.
