- Municipal or WVSP reports: contact the police agency that created the report, not the county sheriff by default
The sheriff's Law Enforcement Division publishes weekday hours of 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., with a noon to 1 p.m. closure. Court-clerk hours were not verified, so call before travel. A sheriff records request may be mailed, faxed to 304-792-8596, or presented at the counter under the West Virginia Freedom of Information Act.
